ArtWalk Night: REdress Photography Project

REdress means to right a wrong.

In January 2015, Mufty Mathewson saw an amazing full page photograph in the Globe and Mail of a red dress hanging in the woods with the words: “imagine if 1,181 of your Daughters never returned home and imagine if no one cared.”  She thought to herself, “I care, but what can an 81 year old woman do about it”. With support from over 35 photographers from Images Alberta Camera Club and St. Albert Photo Club, the REdress Photography Project honours these 1181 Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women.

You can visit the exhibit for the whole month of June.
