It's 1939 and Antonina Zabinska and her husband Dr. Jan Zabinski are running the highly successful Warsaw Zoo. When their country is invaded by the Nazis, the Reich places Lutz Heck in charge of the zoo. As things go downhill Antonina and Jan join the resistance. Before long they become heroes, helping save lives in what has become the Warsaw Ghetto. Based on a true story. Starring Jessica Chastain.
