Goodbye to the Apple Tree: A Special Storytime with Mayor Heron

Goodbye to the Apple Tree: A Special Storytime with Mayor Heron

We have exciting plans for all kinds of interactive new elements in the Downtown Children's area this spring, thanks to funding we received through the Canada Community Revitalization Fund. But we need to make room for these wonderful new surprises. And that means it's time to say goodbye to the Apple Tree.

Who better to help us bid a fond farewell to the Apple Tree than the Mayor? Mayor Cathy has done special community storytimes nestled next to the Apple Tree, and she knows how much the Tree means to St. Albertans who have grown up reading under it, knocking on its echoing trunk, and singing to it.

Join us at 2:00 p.m. at the Apple Tree for a cozy read with the Mayor, followed by cookies and juice. Kids of all ages are invited to write messages on hearts for the Tree. Library staff will be on hand to take all the "Me and The Tree" photos of you might want, on your devices.

This is a drop-in family storytime - registration is not required.
