STARFest Presents Karen Anderson

Are you ready with a response when someone asks you what to eat in Alberta? Do you know how much food we grow for the world and what key foods are really the taste of this place? Come learn from the award-winning author of Eat Alberta First. Karen Anderson founded Alberta Food Tours in 2006 and has written for radio, TV, print and online media. She'll share a visual taste of this place and leave you with an increased pride in what Alberta's food scene has to offer to locals and visitors alike.

Along with leading the team at Alberta Food Tours, Karen is also a Taste Canada, IPPY, and World Gourmand award-winning author for her books A Spicy Touch and Food Artisans of Alberta. In 2024, her cookbook, Eat Alberta First - A year of local recipes from where the Prairies meet the Mountains, won a Silver Medal at the Taste Canada Awards.
