Culture Days: Introduction to Tablet Weaving

Culture Days: Introduction to Tablet Weaving

Nox Sutherland-Carruthers will guide you through this ancient weaving technique as you weave your own bracelet! Using wool or cotton threaded through tablets (playing cards cut down to size), you'll create intricate designs. No loom is required as we will utilize the backstrap loom method, which leverages your body to create the tension needed to weave. After this evening, you will be able to apply your skills to many other projects such as belts, guitar straps, shoelaces, decorative trims, and many more. You'll be surprised how easy it is to create a beautiful and functional tablet woven project! Ages 16+
