Canada Reads @ The Library

Canada Reads @ The Library

St. Albert loves Canada Reads!  Before the Canada Reads debates on CBC radio and TV, we hold our own Canada Reads debate at the Downtown Library with local celebrities championing one of the Canada Reads books.

  • Author and Writer in Residence David Berry defending Foe
  • Indigenous consultant and advocate Teneya Gwin defending It's Different this Time
  • LitFest Executive Director Ellen Kartz defending The Cure for Drowning
  • Program Supervisor for the Musée Heritage Museum Brett Lamoureux defending Searching for Terry Punchout
  • Violence prevention educator Tuval Nafshi defending A Minor Chorus

Our amazing host, Michelle Steinhusen returns. Be part of a fun, stimulating evening, and help us decide what Canada’s Next Great Read will be!
